The MENA Fintech Association (MFTA) today announced the appointment of Cyrine Sanchou and Nizar Hannachi as the new Co-Chairs of the MFTA Africa Chapter, reinforcing the Association’s commitment to strengthening collaboration, innovation, and regulatory dialogue across Africa’s rapidly evolving fintech ecosystem.
Cyrine Sanchou is a Strategic Growth & Transformation Executive with extensive experience across financial services and fintech, having launched, scaled, and transformed regulated institutions across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. She currently advises financial institutions and fintech platforms on growth strategy, regulatory structuring, and operational transformation, while serving as a Board Member at BIAT Bank. A graduate of École Centrale Paris and HEC Paris / Télécom Paris, Cyrine is recognised for translating strategy into execution and building bridges across institutions, cultures, and markets.
Nizar Hannachi is a seasoned banking and payments executive with more than 25 years of experience across global banks and regulated payment institutions. As Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Enda Tao, he leads the company’s strategic positioning in digital payments, cross-border remittances, and financial inclusion. Throughout his career at Enda Tao, Bank ABC, and BNP Paribas, Nizar has led digital transformation initiatives, built transaction banking capabilities, and driven partnerships that advance payment innovation and financial inclusion across Tunisia and the wider MENA region.
Together, Cyrine and Nizar bring complementary expertise spanning banking, fintech, regulation, digital payments, and strategic transformation. As Co-Chairs, they will lead the MFTA Africa Chapter’s efforts to strengthen engagement with industry stakeholders, regulators, innovators, and policymakers, while fostering greater collaboration across Africa’s fintech ecosystem.
