Key themes from Miami and Barcelona, and their implications for MENA
Sibos in Miami and EuroFinance in Barcelona approached the same market from different directions. Sibos focused on the financial system: banks, market infrastructure, payment networks, technology and regulation. EuroFinance started closer to the corporate treasury desk: liquidity, forecasting, risk, payments and execution.
The strongest learning was how much the two agendas converged. Better data. More payment choices. Al moving closer to action. New forms of regulated digital money. And a much stronger focus on working capital, resilience and the corporate workflow.
